Look in the sky! It’s a bird, it’s a plane- no it’s Dr. Stevo! The series that combined elements of Jackass and MTV’s MADE is now available for commercial free viewing. At least until the second season starts later this year.

Even if you never liked Jackass or its spin-offs, you should give this show a chance. You just might like Steve-O’s new outlook on changing the world one wussy at a time.

I know what you’re thinking, “Is Steve-O even a doctor?” The correct answer to that would have to be…no. However, you could say that a man of his stature has enough crazy stunts behind his belt to be called a ‘professional phobia fighter’.

The Checklist

Similar to MTV’s MADE, Dr. Steve-O focuses around changing people’s lives for the better, or in this case “fighting wussyness and sissydom”. In every episode he does his best to help each patient overcome a fear by completing a 3-step checklist:

• 1) Initiation Treatment
• 2) Personal Procedure
• 3) Group Therapy

In the beginning, Stevo seems to just be mocking his “patients”. I really didn’t see how waxing off an eyebrow (or a nutsack) for that matter could help a shy guy’s phobia of bees. But eventually each phobia of the participants (who want to stay) are cured.
