Wow, Fern Gully. I haven’t heard even the faintest peep about this movie for such a long time!
I watched this movie so many times as a kid that I actually wore down the VHS tape that we used to rent from the movie rental place.
When I was a little older, I could appreciate the commentary it was actually making with animal test subjects like Batty and pollution.
I think this movie needs to be rereleased. It gives an amazing, awesome message about taking care of the environment without getting preachy.

Have you seen Avatar? I swear he got all his ideas from Fern Gully. The humans are destroying their planet with bulldozers, etc just like in FG. Destroying the Lifetree, like the tried to destroy the big tree in FG. Wow, it was insane watching Av and being reminded of this little animation my kids use to watch till they wore out the video!!!!!!!!!!!
