Most people think of chocolate for Easter (well, chocolate bunnies), but there are some delicious traditional Easter recipes out there with no chocolate included.
But still plenty of sugar involved, of course. I’m not totally insane, now am I?
And, just because I’m good like this, here is the list of ingredients (though you may want to look at the original post anyway):
1 package active dry yeast
1/4 cup warm water (100 degrees F.)
3/4 cup sugar
1 tsp aniseeds
1 1/2 tbsp anise extract
1 1/2 tsp lemon extract
1 tbsp lemon zest
1 1/4 tsp salt
2 tbsp vegetable oil
6 tbsp melted butter
1/4 cup milk
4 1/2 cups all-purpose flour, plus more as needed
