This video features how reading works for the average reader and how you can increase your reading speed by getting rid of one of the steps involved.

This is actually quite an interesting video. We are taught to read by sounding out the words, so it’s no wonder that we get used to voicing the words that we read.

Few of us get further instruction on then getting rid of the voicing step, so it’s not surprising that so many of us aren’t exactly speed readers.

As a book reviewer, I think I’m going to have to practice this a lot more.
