“The TV presenter Caroline Flack has been arrested and charged with assault by beating after reports of a man being attacked.
“Flack, known for hosting programmes such as Love Island and The X-Factor, was arrested at 5.25am on Friday after an incident the day before, the Metropolitan police said.
“A spokeswoman confirmed Flack would appear on bail at Highbury Corner magistrates court on Monday 23 December. Flack, 40, was charged with assault by beating. The man was not seriously injured.
“A London ambulance service spokeswoman said: “We were called yesterday [Thursday 12 December] at 5.28am to a residential address in Islington. We treated two people at the scene and took one person to hospital.”
“A spokesman for Flack told PA news agency: “We confirm that police attended Caroline’s home following a private domestic incident.”
