When you are feeling a bit shafted by ‘The Man’ and want to get a little harmless revenge, why not try paying all your bills with pennies?

According to Snopes, this guy was both right and wrong. He could feel free to use the pennies – as many pennies as he wanted – for the payment.

Pennies are legal tender in any amount. Nickels and dimes, too, for that matter.

However, there is no law or legal hooplah that says a company must accept pennies.

The only way he got away with this is pretty much because there wasn’t a sign up saying that they don’t accept pennies.
