“After reports their relationship was on the rocks, Gabi Grecko has announced she and her 71-year-old boyfriend Geoffrey Edelsten are to marry.

“The engagement caps off a tumultuous week for the US-born model.

“She was admitted to Melbourne’s St Vincent’s hospital on Friday morning following rumours that she and Edelsten were breaking up.

“She had earlier tweeted that “sometimes the one you love betrays you the most” accompanied by a picture of her and Edelsten, giving life to the idea that he had not been faithful.

“But Edelsten was by her side when she left the emergency department before 11am on Friday, and she told waiting reporters that they were staying together.”
