“Like so many people around the world, Salma Hayek feared she wouldn’t survive COVID-19. The actress, 54, revealed in an interview with Variety that she’s spent much of the past year recovering after testing positive for the novel coronavirus early in the pandemic.
““My doctor begged me to go to the hospital because it was so bad,” Hayek, 54, explained. “I said, ‘No, thank you. I’d rather die at home.’”
“Hayek says she spent about seven weeks isolated in her London home, at one point even having to be put on oxygen (a sign that the illness had progressed to a severe stage).”
