Yes, I know people are upset by this. Heck, I always take a while to warm up to a new Doctor no matter who it is.
But the show was leading up to this all of the last season with talk about antiquated thoughts about sex and gender. Doctor Who is a fictional character, and it’s been made clear that they switch sexes whenever they feel like it.
