Another day, another death of an iconic black man. We were all still grieving Bernie Mac, when we lost Isaac Hayes.
And you know what they say about these things always happening in threes. If I were Sidney Poitier I’d feel a little nervous!
But right now I’m feeling the loss of Isaac Hayes, one of the coolest cats who ever lived. From soul music to South Park, he did it all with style. Sure he lost a little credibility in the end with all that Scientology garbage, but this is the way I’ll remember him.
So sit back and enjoy Isaac and his signature song “Shaft.” Can you dig it?
