Wentworth Miller, the American actor best known for his starring role in Prison Break, has come out as gay. He did so to highlight the anti-gay attitude currently rising in Russia.

Miller was responding to an invite to the St. Petersburg International Film Festival when he casually dropped in the factoid that he was gay.

He replied, “Thank you for your kind invitation. As someone who has enjoyed visiting Russia in the past and can also claim a degree of Russian ancestry, it would make me happy to say yes. However, as a gay man, I must decline.”

More people seem shocked that Miller is 41-years-old than that he is gay. Mainly because there have been rumors spread about his sexuality for a long time.
