Wendy Williams was once the queen of take radio, and she used that position to spread salacious gossip about celebrities and to dish the dirt on well-known faces.

She’s now made the move to TV with The Wendy Williams Show, and recently welcomed Whoopi Goldberg on as a guest. This brought Williams to tears as the guilt of her former rumormongering spilled out.

While a New York DJ, Williams said Goldberg was ugly, looked like a monkey, and had terrible hair. She also implied that Whoopi’s daughter Alex had a cocaine habit.

Either Whoopi is a gullible person or has a heart of gold, because rather than telling Williams where to go, she accepted an invite to come on the show, and then didn’t use the opportunity to get her own back. Which is what I think I would have done.
