You may or may not be aware of a rumor that has circulated for decades. It states that one of the munchkins (or at least one of the actors playing a munchkin) in The Wizard Of Oz committed suicide during filming.

The twist is that the suicide by hanging was allegedly caught on film and appeared in the final cut. And this video does indeed appear to show something dark swinging in amongst the trees as Dorothy, the Tin Man, and the Scarecrow walk down the yellow brick road.

I doubt very much that thing swinging about is a munchkin actor who has just jumped off a chair to kill himself. It just seems very unlikely no one would have spotted it at the time and, more so, allowed it to remain in the movie.

The fact is that there was no report of a death on the set of The Wizard Of Oz. And there surely would have been if there was any truth in this rumor. I call BS but what do you think?
