Spore was meant to be a new masterpiece from The creator of The Sims and Sim City, Will Wright, and his company, Maxis. Except it’s not.
Here, Yahtzee Croshaw gives his typically honest and brutal review of the game which while meant to simulate life from beginning to end, is actually just a series of shallow mini-games.
The best bit, although I don’t know why, is when he answers whether Spore lives up to the hype. The short answer is “no”. The long answer is “noooooooooooooooo”… to infinity.
Zero Punctuation is one of the few must-watch video series on the Internet. Not only are the reviews funny, but the opinions given are usually absolutely spot on. As they are with Spore.
