It’s rather strange to hear a Japanese band covering “Take Me Home, Country Roads”, just because it’s such an American song.
I was surprised a Japanese band would even know about this John Denver classic, but apparently it’s famous in Japan after appearing in a Studio Ghibli film.
This is a wonderful cover because it changes things up enough to differentiate it from the original.
In my humble opinion, this is less nostalgic than the original, but much more uplifting. And I could listen to it on repeat.
