The Community Shield is traditionally the opening game in the new English soccer season. But with the 2019/2020 season having only just ended, we didn’t even go one week without a game.
Still, it was Arsenal vs. Liverpool, as Arsenal won the FA Cup and Liverpool won the Premiership for the first time in their history.
The scoreline of 1-1 didn’t reflect the quality of the game, with both teams showing that they’re carrying on their good form from last season.
But in the end, Arsenal won on penalties thanks to Rhian Brewster hitting the crossbar, while everyone else who stepped up scored.
