Apple has held another event (yes, yet another one) to unveil new hardware and announce some new freebies coming to Mac fans soon.

Apple unveiled a new iPad Air and iPad mini with Retina Display. The previously announced Mac Pro, which looks like a small bin, was also unveiled for real, but the $2,999 price tag will likely put most people off.

The new version of OS X, codenamed Mavericks, is being given away free to everyone, while iWork and iLife are being included free with purchases of new Macs.

All in all, cool, but not too exciting.
