Charlie Chaplin Google Doodle Video

The latest Google Doodle is live on the homepage, and embedded above for your viewing pleasure. It’s a short film celebrating the life and work of Charlie Chaplin, who would have been 122-years-old today (April 16, 2011).

The Google Doodle team have done a fantastic job of recreating the look and feel of an old Charlie Chaplin movie. OK, so the black and white footage isn’t grainy, but that’s a good thing, right?

In terms of the action the slapstick style that was the hallmark of what Chaplin did on screen is there in spades, and there’s even a kick up the butt included.

Google Doodles are getting increasingly creative and entertaining. Who’d have thought that a logo could be morphed into something worthy of spending minutes watching or playing with? Google, that’s who.
