This trailer gives us our first glimpse at Christina Aguilera’s acting debut in the Steve Antin film Burlesque. I’m sorry to say it, but it seems that this pop diva has pulled a Mariah Carey.
Just as Carey flopped in Glitter, I’m predicting such a spectacular fall for Ms Aguilera in this film which seems more than a little familiar. Sure we have Cher and Stanley Tucci to spice things up, but I’m not sure they can save this piece of drivel.
If you’re happy to switch your brain off, this campy tale of small town girl in the big sequin-covered city may be an interesting way to pass the time. But something tells me that it’ll be no match for the other December 26 film offerings.
