Today I learned that Robin Thicke, he of Blurred Lines fame, has been around a while. In 2002, he released When I Get You Alone, a song which did rather well despite him looking like a sleazy Jesus in the video.
I have to admit I hate Robin Thicke with a passion. From the moment I first heard Blurred Lines I took an instant dislike to him, and that hasn’t gone away since.
His recent stalkerish behavior towards his ex-wife hasn’t helped. Mourn the end of the relationship by all means, but don’t write an album begging her to come back to you.
Unfortunately, discovering Robin Thicke sang When I Get You Alone in 2002 means I actually quite like one of his songs. My only excuse is it comes from another time, when Thicke was much more innocent.
