No Escape is a new action-thriller starring Owen Wilson and Pierce Brosnan. Despite Wilson’s oeuvre, this is a straight role in a straight (and rather serious) movie.
The question is whether this film is worth watching. After all, there are a lot of films worth watching vying for our attention right now.

I must admit I’m pretty much over these over-the-top action films which are so relentless that they suck all the joy out of the experience. With the exception of Mad Max: Fury Road, obviously.
