The extra pounds Betty Francis gained during Mad Men’s hiatus have been the drama series’ biggest talking point. In honor of January Jones’ surprising transformation Ram Jam’s 70s hit “Black Betty” has received a hilarious makeover.
“Fat Betty” may be one of the stupidest things I’ve laughed at in some time. The vocals are shaky and while the words made me chuckle they’re hardly lyrical genius. Yet I found myself giggling through the clip in spite of myself.
Now if only we can convince the folks at AMC to add the song as a soundtrack whenever the former Mrs Draper enters a room!
