The Free Hugs campaign spread like fire though one viral video, so why not Free Beats? It’s not a movement yet, but it’s certainly something that anyone who has some simple audio gear and guts can do.

It’s pretty much a given that people enjoy watching other people make fools of themselves. Such is the case with Free Beats, a Sierra Mist Creative Lab sponsored video starring stand-up comedian Chris Sullivan.
The Free Beats idea is so simple, yet allows for so much creativity. An open mic allows pretty much anyone walking on the street to be a star for a few seconds; even if they can’t really sing or rap. While it starts off with a little shakiness, some of the “MC’s” get really into it by the end.
