This video is the Gotye video parody to end all Gotye video parodies, and it’s created by the Australian musician himself. Somebodies: A YouTube Symphony sees Gotye taking all the covers and parodies of “Somebody That I Used To Know” that we’ve enjoyed over the last few months and splicing them together in one gorgeous video.
The vid uses all the original audio and video, although Gotye’s used some fancy studio tricks to tweak it so it sounds just right.
The result is a glorious cacophony of color and sound. By rights it should put an end to what’s become a real musical meme.
