Professor Brian Cox is a particle physicist who used to be a rock star, specifically the keyboard player in D:Ream, best known for Things Can Only Get Better, a song now inextricably linked to Tony Blair and New Labour.
He’s now a scientist and TV presenter for the BBC. This video is made up of clips from Wonders Of The Solar System, but Cox now has a new series called Wonders Of The Universe.
Cox isn’t a stoner, at least as far as we know. But the way he describes planets and physics makes him sound like someone who has been smoking something. Especially with his wonky smile and glazed expression.
