If, like me, you’d love a tablet computer but can’t afford a decent one, then this weekend could be a good one. Because the HP TouchPad is going cheap, so grab one while you still can.
This is a review of the HP TouchPad, and as the video suggests it’s a decent tablet with lots of great features. OK, so it may not be an Apple iPad but it’s pretty damn close.
The problem is that Hewlett-Packard recently announced it was getting out of the hardware business in order to refocus on software, and it’s also looking to sell WebOS off, even though it paid Palm $1.2 for the operating system not so long ago.
In the U.S. and Canada at least, this means there’s a fire sale happening this weekend on HP stock, and the TouchPad is going for $99, $300 less than normal. Will you be lucky enough to purchase one before they sell out?
