A few weeks ago we saw Canadian Idol’s Jaydee Bixby butcher Green Days signature tune, Time Of Your Life. He may have made a mess of this 90’s classic, but he managed to stay in the comp. This week’s performance of I Can’t Stop Loving You shows why.
The teen from Alberta may as well be Elvis. He seems to be channeling The King in this performance, from the hip swiveling to the characteristic drawl.
Sure it’s cheesy when he drapes his scarf around the young girl’s neck. And sure it’s all been done before. But the kids are lapping it up, and that’s why this cutie pie is in the top four.
