Oakland-based rapper Kreayshawn has been gaining quite a bit of attention since Lil Wayne remixed her song on his latest mixtape.
Other artists like Drake and the Red Hot Chili Peppers have been reacting positively to this new artist…but I just can’t see any originality here.
I hate to point out the obvious here, but is all this latest attention just because she’s a white rapper? Everything about this video just emulates what seems to be popular in today’s mainstream acts so it’s easy to see why Columbia got her a record deal.
Curious to find out more, I gave a listen to some of the other songs Kreayshawn posted on YouTube- she just sounds like every other party rapper out today.
