The American Idol finale was last night and one of the many star guests was Carrie Underwood, the winner of the fourth season of American Idol. She ended the show and the season by singing a cover version of Motley Crue’s Home Sweet Home.
This isn’t a video of her performance because, well, for one thing it’s just not as good as the original (in my honest opinion), and there’s also the fact that all the clips from last night’s American Idol final are being removed from YouTube as quickly as they are uploaded.
So instead here is the original song being performed as it’s meant to be, live and loud by Motley Crue. This clip is from the Canadian leg of the Live 8 concerts from 2005. I’m sure you’ll agree that it blows Carrie Underwood out of the water.
Which just goes to prove the original is (almost) always the best.
