New “Unbreakable” LCD Screen (Video) | Samsung Developing Indestructable Phone?

25 sec read

You’ve probably already seen the supposedly “unbreakable” phone that broke at CES 2010, now Samsung is developing an actual unbreakable phone. So far they’ve managed to make this super-resilient LCD.

Watch as the new screen is compared side-by-side to normal LCD screens- with a hammer involved.

Tecjnically this screen isn’t LCD technology at all but rather a new type called OLED. As you can see the screen can take pounds from a hammer and even bend easily. As for bending in completely in half- I don’t think they’ve managed to figure that out yet.

I can’t tell you how many of my phones I’ve had to replace because their LCD broke so easily. This type of technology could revolutionize most electronics.
