Imagine if you will the possibility of 1980s video games coming back to haunt us. And no, I’m not talking about a trip to a rural arcade which appears to got stuck in a 1980s time-warp.
What if those characters we used and abused for a decade decided they wanted revenge, and so broke through a television portal from their time to ours in order to wreak havoc on New York?
This video shows what it would be like.
You get Space Invaders destroying taxi cabs, Pacman eating his way around the subway, Tetris blocks adding several layers to the buildings, and Donkey Kong throwing barrels from the top of the Empire State Building.
But as bad as all that is, it’s when Bomberman arrives that you have to worry. Because that means it’s Game Over.
