This video shows the aftermath of Orange Crush, with Savannah Beach on Tybee Island having been trashed. This guy really isn’t too happy about it.
I can see why the residents and tourists probably hate Orange Crush, but come on, it’s only once a year, and young people need to be able to let their hair down and have fun occasionally.
Littering is bad, OK. Leaving trash just lying around rather than finding a bin or disposing of it in the proper way is lazy, ignorant, and downright rude. But it’s a beach. It can be cleaned up. No lasting damage has been done.
If that was my back garden I’d be pissed. Just like this guy is. But it isn’t, so I can afford to have more lenient views.
