Stephen Colbert was bummed out that Daft Punk cancelled their appearance on The Colbert Report mere hours before they were due to perform. Never mind, he made the best of a bad situation.

Daft Punk were due to appear on The Colbert Report but instead decided to show up at the MTV Video Music Awards. And Colbert found out late, very late.

Instead of letting it drop quietly, he told the full story on the show, and then aired the premiere of his own music video for Get Lucky.

This doesn’t show the video in full, but we do get to see some of the celebrity cameos, including Hugh Laurie, Matt Damon, Jimmy Fallon, and Bryan Cranston.
