This video shows how Lauren Silberman did while trying out to be a kicker in the NFL. The presence of the word, “Fail” in the title could probably save you the trouble of watching the clip. But you should do regardless.
Silberman made headlines for being the first female to be given the honor of testing for the NFL during regional tryouts.
Unfortunately her display of kicking didn’t really impress and is unlikely to inspire other girls to give the notoriously-male sport a go.
Silberman has come in for criticism from all and sundry, but she claims she was suffering from an injury, hence the poor showing. Was it a legitimate injury or sheer incompetence? We’ll probably never know.
