“Helio Castroneves gave the 135,000 race fans a gift to make up for their absence at the Indianapolis 500 a year ago.
“1. Helio Castroneves – In a one-off effort, having not driven an IndyCar competitively since August of last year, Castroneves became a four-time Indianapolis 500 winner.
“2. Alex Palou – The Spanish phenom didn’t put a foot wrong all day but was just in the wrong place at the wrong time when the white flag waved.
“3. Simon Pagenaud – The 2019 winner shocked fans after starting 26th and finishing in third.
“4. Pato O’Ward – One of the strongest cars all race, the Texas 2 winner will have to wait another year for a shot at Indy glory.”
