Just because you know how to read, write and speak doesn’t mean you know how to write well enough to be an author.
This video is so funny because, believe it or not, there are people who actually think this way. I have personally encountered a person who said he didn’t need to be able to write a book – and that he didn’t like reading anyway!
It’s enough to make you hit your head on your desk over and over.
So if you are thinking that you would like to write a novel someday: a. don’t call it a ‘fiction novel’ because that is redundant and b. realize that it’s a process that can take years.
