Comedian Stephen Colbert take politics seriously and has been approved to go ahead and launch the Colbert Super PAC.
What the heck is a Super PAC? It’s a type of political action committee that would allow him to raise unlimited amounts of money from corporations, unions and individuals to support or oppose candidates in the 2012 elections.
The specific part of this is that he can raise funds in advance of the elections.
That just goes to show that the United States may be in for election campaigns like they have never seen before.
It is sure to be an interesting one.
