“The massive winter storm Elliott is expected to wreak havoc beginning Wednesday ahead of the holiday weekend and it will affect the majority of the country, creating warnings nationwide and prompting airlines to already begin offering waivers and free ticket changes.
“Winter Storm Elliott is likely to cause the coldest Christmas the U.S. has seen in almost 40 years, according to CNN meteorologist Jennifer Gray.
“The storm is projected to cycle through the U.S. Wednesday through Saturday, affecting the Great Plains on Wednesday night with heavy snow and winds—the National Weather Service has deemed travel during this time as “hazardous.””
