In light of the recent proposal by Rep. Bobby Franklin in Georgia that would require women who have miscarriages to file a police report, Jill Filipovic volunteered to sent the Franklin all her tampons and other feminine products just in case.
Like she said, it’s a disgusting response if you think about it, but the proposed law is just as disgusting.
Filing a police report after miscarriage? As if miscarriage in and of itself isn’t incredibly traumatic enough, you want to further hurt and demean the woman by making her file a police report.
Franklin, you’ll be lucky if a few pictures of tampons are all you get.
