Wayne Rooney is seeking a move away from Man Utd, as manager Alex Ferguson confirms in this video of a recent press conference. But where will the potato-headed freak go?
There are only a couple of English clubs that have the money and ambition to be able to sign Rooney: Chelsea and Man City. And I can’t see Rooney going to either, even though multiple reports suggest he’s considering the unthinkable move across town to United’s biggest rivals.
Which means Rooney must be eyeing up a move abroad, probably to one of the big Spanish clubs of Real Madrid or Barcelona.
Either way, it looks unlikely he’ll be staying at Manchester United, and Alex Ferguson has to take at least part of the blame for that. Maybe it’s time the dour Scotsman retired from the game.
