Canadian Idol might be done and dusted for another year, but thankfully a new season of Australian Idol has just kicked off. With 12 unique and talented individuals gunning for the title, it’s sure to be an interesting year.
The coolest cat in a hat, Wes Carr kicked things off with U2’s “Beautiful Day.” This sort of song is perfect for the Idol arena with its inspirational lyrics and rock sensibility.
Wes executed it with the confidence and charisma we rarely see at such an early stage of the comp. He’s already a professional, but there’s nothing boring about seeing someone deliver performances this good time and time again.
