NBC and News Corp. have announced the name of their new online video website: Hulu. However, it seems as though they’re hush hush about exactly what their new site will offer.

On August 29th, the Hulu website began to accept requests for invitations to partake in a beta run of Hulu. The beta test will begin in October and include a few hundred people.

Hulu’s homepage features images from some of NBC’s most popular television programs including Heroes, 30 Rock, Bones, The Office, and It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia.

However, at this time, there is no information regarding if the shows mentioned on Hulu’s homepage are the only ones that will be featured on the site. Also, it is unclear whether only single episodes, entire seasons or interviews will be available relating to these popular programs.

Why all the hype about Hulu? Right now, it’s just a name with no sustenance.
