Rich Pretty Girl | Rocketboom minus the brains with some extra breasts

Rich Pretty Girl

The minute I started watching RichPrettyGirl.com my ears hurt. This girl has one annoying voice, but the fact that she was wearing some slutty clothes kept me watching. Now I’m sat here wondering what the hell is this?

Think of RocketBoom, the news show that was hosted by the talented, good looking and smart Amanda Congdon (until she left). Take that then make the host dress in some slutty clothing, take away the smart, add an annoying voice, and talk about random subjects. Now you have Rich Pretty Girl.

Posted on Friday 30 March 2007

Charlie SheenA new internet documentary on the 9/11 attacks is in the works which, in the style of Loose Change, suggests elements of the US government were behind the September 11 attacks on the World Trade Centers.

The actor, Charlie Sheen, is pegged as appearing doing the narration for the documentary. When it will be released is not known, nor is the title of the documentary.

Jewellery TV | The jewellery shopping channel

Posted on Friday 30 March 2007

jewellery-television.gifJewellery TV is an online shopping channel completely devoted to jewellery. Jewellery TV’s mission is to open the world of fine jewelry and gemstones to everyone.

Whether you are interested in Silver Jewellery, gemstones, silver ankle chains, body jewellery, or even toe rings Jewellery TV has something to offer. Jewellery TV appears to be pretty popular boasting that it shipped 5.5 million packages to our customers last year.

I’m personally not a fan of shopping channels since I believe better deals can be found elsewhere, like on eBay!. That said some people swear they can find some great deals on shopping channels like Jewellery TV.

News War | An online documentary looking at the controversial news industry

Posted on Thursday 29 March 2007

News War

News War is a new online series which comes from Frontline, the American public television’s flagship public affairs series. News War, as the title suggests, discusses the shape (and inherent controversies) of the news industry, including over 50 interviews with major media players.

As someone from the UK it’s interesting to see the huge differences between the style of news that we get over here in the UK, compared to that in the US, with the US news tending to be a lot more sensational and dramatic.

ESL & Leaning English Videos

Posted on Monday 26 March 2007

talkingIf you are taking or have been considering English classes then you might like to brush up on your English skills by taking a browse around the web for some English lesson videos.

I actually found the number of ESL (English as a second language) videos online to be quite limited, unless you are willing to pay. However, I did manage to find a few very useful video lessons to help improve your English grammar and vocabulary. I’ve listed all of these below:

English Video Lessons:

  • CLA University ESL videos - I liked this site the most, not only does this site list a number of other English video lessons on other websites, it also has a selection of its own videos, which work alongside quick quizzes and interactive lessons including video dictation exercises, and learning from TV commercials and movie trailers.
  • English Kitty Free Videos - This site is run by an American who teaches English over the phone using Skype. He has a selection of short English video lessons for you to browse through.
  • BBC Learning English - You can always count on the BBC to have a quality set of English learning exercises. The “watch and listen” section contains audio and video clips to help you learn English. The “Beyond the Postcard” exercise takes you around places in the UK with video comprehension exercise.
  • Australia Network Living English - This is a clever idea where you are taken through an Australian soap and guided through each bit of the conversation so you can pick up on different words and pronunciations. The 42-part series looks at the English language used in everyday situations such as checking into a hotel or describing people.

Posted on Sunday 25 March 2007

PetStylePetStyle is, as far as I know, the first online TV station focused solely on pets. PetStyle’s vision is to enrich and lengthen the special relationships between people and their pets.

The focus of the channel is largely on cats and dogs and you can see a number of videos in the PetStyle video library on pet training and dog and cat health.

Travelistic Travel Videos | Plan your vacation and visit worldwide destinations through online video

Posted on Saturday 24 March 2007

TravelisticYou may have noticed here on WebTVHub that we like to pick a subject and see what videos and TV stations are available on the net. I always find myself absolutely amazed by the number of brilliant video resources that are out there for almost any subject.

This time I’ve decided that watching online vacation videos would be a great way to plan a vacation if you are short of travel plan ideas, or also a great way to re-visit worldwide holiday destinations that you may have visited in the past.

AcceptableTVAcceptable.TV is a new TV series that premieres at 10pm tonight on VH1. The series has Tenacious D funny man Jack Black on board as an executive producer. The show will work hand in hand with internet video where users of the Acceptable.TV website can vote for what is shown on the episodes aired on VH1
