The Simpsons Meets Star Wars Video | Fantastic Simpsons Intro Spoof

Posted on Friday 31 August 2007

The intro from the cult series The Simpsons is one of the cleverest around. We’ve seen a real life version of this classic opener before. Now everyone’s favorite TV opener has been given a new Star Wars makeover.

Animator Rich Cando brings all the greatest Star Wars characters to this fantastic parody. That’s right, there’s definitely no Jar Jar Binks here.

Instead you’ll find Yoda hiding in Bart/Luke Skywalker’s bag, and R2D2, not Maggie, scanned by the shop assistant. Barney Gumble’s appearance as Chewbacca makes perfect sense.

Skiing Accident Close Call Video | This Is the Luckiest Skier in the World

Posted on Friday 31 August 2007

Skiers are a dedicated bunch. They hit the trails religiously each winter, sometimes traveling many miles to ski. But it would take a die-hard skiing fanatic to continue skiing at the place in this video, especially after seeing what almost happened to one guy.

The skier in this clip was just skiing along as usual, when suddenly a huge crack appeared in the snow and he went down. By an extraordinary stroke of luck, he fell in such a way that he ended up across the crevice instead of plunging down to the bottom of it.

It’s hard to tell just how deep the crevice is, but when you can’t see the bottom that’s a bad sign. This guy should be thanking his lucky stars for sure!

Online Documentary Series Centered Around Female Firefighters | “Women on Watch”

Posted on Friday 31 August 2007

Battalion-Logo

Ever since I was a kid, I always wanted to be a firefighter. Female firefighters have never been common, and I wanted to be anything but common.

In my old(er) age, I’ve realized that I’m not cut out for firefighting–I’m just too lazy. However, I still have an enormous amount of respect for those women who are cut out for firefighting.

Hilarious “Omazing Grace” Video | Terrible Church Singer Butchers “Amazing Grace”

Posted on Friday 31 August 2007

After I finished watching this video, my jaw was hitting the floor and my stomach hurt from too much laughing.

I don’t know why anyone would let this guy get up in church and sing a solo. His voice is the most God-awful (pun intended) sound I have ever heard. Part of me wonders if he just finished smoking crack or meth.

The last seven seconds of this video are the best, so please, be sure to stick around through the whole thing. You won’t regret it. I finished watching the clip five minutes ago, and I’m still laughing hysterically as I type…

Hurricane Katrina Home Video Footage | Flood Takes Over House In Minutes

Posted on Friday 31 August 2007

August 29, 2005, here we are now 2 years from this notorious hurricane and out comes this raw, home video footage of the Guerra family enduring the worst parts of the hurricane after the flooding began.

In a short 3 minutes, their entire house and neighborhood is taken over by the rising waters. I feel so badly for the dog, as we all know what their fate was!

Yes, I would say it was a bad decision to stay at your home with they ordered an evacuation of the entire city! Just imagine looking out the hole in your roof and seeing a car parked there.

Dermographism Skin Allergy Video | No, I Don’t Do Drugs… It’s A Skin Allergy!

Posted on Friday 31 August 2007

No, I’ve never heard of a skin allergy called Dermographism either. I’m not saying it doesn’t exist or anything, and actually this girl does a good job of trying to explain it.

Apparently she’s had people watch her videos… no just YouTube ones, (not that kind, as far as I know she’s not that kind of girl) and they’ve asked her why she rubs her nose all the time.

Shoplifting Bird Video | Feathered Dorito Thief is Unapologetic

Posted on Thursday 30 August 2007

Most shoplifters go into a store, find what they want, and conceal it carefully before leaving with it. But seeing how the one in this video has no clothes on to hide his loot in, I guess he has no choice but to be brazen and bold.

According to an employee of the Scottish convenience store in this video, the same bird comes in each day and steals a bag of Doritos, takes it out the door, opens it up, and eats it. The proof is undeniable, as he is caught on video at least twice. But apparently the cops can’t catch up with him, and his crime spree continues.

Rowan Atkinson’s Invisible Drum Kit Video | Imaginary Drums Set To Sound

Posted on Thursday 30 August 2007

We all know this goofy comedian from the Mr. Bean movie series, the most latest being Mr. Bean’s Holiday. Here is a skit he did on Comedy Central, not sure as to when it came out, but it seems to be fairly recent.

So it is almost like trying to play the drums in the dark. Mr. Bean, let’s just call him that, has to feel around at first to find the many different parts of the drum and adjust himself to drum up a tune.

Cool Lego Music Video | “Bohemian Rhapsody” with Lego Queen!

Posted on Thursday 30 August 2007

British supergroup Queen made a big impression on the global music scene with their stadium rock anthems. Arguably their greatest musical legacy was Bohemian Rhapsody, a fusion of rock and opera that many regard as the greatest song of all time.

We’ve all seen the iconic film clip, but you’ve never seen it quite like this before. Like the White and Nerdy film clip I posted earlier in the week, this music video uses Lego figures to bring the song to life.

This song’s classic story is retold here, from the moment where Freddie Mercury “just killed a man” to his battle with Beelzebub in the fiery gates of hell. Rock on!

Funny Gaming Vid | Pac-Man Stops Eating and Quits

Posted on Thursday 30 August 2007

Have you ever wondered what it would be like if the protagonists of your PC games decided to call it quits one day? Imagine that Lara Croft no longer wanted to be a sexy archaeologist or Pac-Man no longer wanted to be a munching machine.
