Daniel Mifsud Video | Surprising Kiss Cover Earns “Australian Idol” Hopeful a Touchdown

Posted on Sunday 30 September 2007

Last week Matt Corby scored the first touchdown of the Australian Idol season. This week the equally sexy Daniel Mifsud became the second singer to earn this ultimate compliment.

Daniel did it with a surprising rendition of Kiss’ I Was Made for Loving You. This slowed down ballad bared little resemblance to the rocking original, but allowed the song’s romantic lyrics to shine.

X Factor Outtakes Video Compilation | Xtra Factor Inc. Simon Cowell & Fearne Cotton

Posted on Sunday 30 September 2007

This is a great compilation of outtakes from The X Factor Series 4… at least from unseen footage up to episode 6. I’m sure there’ll be another montage by the end of the series.

This includes all of the judges including Simon Cowell studying himself in the mirror, Louis Walsh with a gay moustache… so no more, Sharon Osbourne generally being a fool, and Danni Minogue ermm not doing much really.

Paris Hilton On David Letterman Show Video | Letterman Quizzes Hilton About Jail Time

Posted on Sunday 30 September 2007

Paris Hilton went on to The Late Show with David Letterman on Friday to promote her new film and perfume. Letterman meanwhile had different ideas and spent the duration of the interview quizzing her about her time in prison.

It’s hilarious to watch as Letterman keeps plugging away asking her inane questions about her time inside including what mealtimes consisted of.

Extreme Car Commercial | Renault Ballet with Lots of Crashes

Posted on Sunday 30 September 2007

Some of the new US car commercials have been pretty inventive. There’s the one where the people in Kias are playing musical parking spaces, and the Volkswagen commercials featuring unexpected crashes. But in order to get the “hardcore” stuff like this car crash ballet, you’ve got to go to Europe.

Killer Tortoise Attacks Cat Video | Who’s The Weakest Link?

Posted on Saturday 29 September 2007

In the old children’s story about the tortoise and the hare, we learned a valuable lesson about work ethics, and also that appearances aren’t always what they seem.

That’s what I understood it as anyway, and now we have a valuable lesson about attitudes and whose predator and whose prey in this video. And in this instance, the tortoise comes out on top once again and puts this cat in its place.

Funny Dog Video | Useless Police Dog in Hot Pursuit

Posted on Saturday 29 September 2007

This video makes me wonder how on earth this dumb dog ever graduated from the police academy.

Pluto seems to have a fairly simple job description: chase the criminal, and then catch the criminal. To be fair, he seems to have the chasing part down. But catching is another thing entirely.

CBS Creates Eyelab | New Site Designed For Video Mashups Inspired By Caruso One Liners

Posted on Saturday 29 September 2007

CBS LogoCBS is about to embark on yet another way of using the web to promote their TV network and programmes on it.

While other major US television networks are struggling with the whole idea of YouTube, CBS are looking at new ways of streaming their shows online.

For example, according to a story in the Wall Street Journal, the network is setting up a site just for short-form video “mashups” and other content created both by CBS staff and by viewers.

The site, which is to be called EyeLab, is designed to appeal to Web surfers who have grown used to watching and sharing YouTube video clips or user-generated tributes to various mainstream shows.

Bert & Ernie Mafia Video | If Martin Scorsese Directed Sesame Street Casino Style…

Posted on Saturday 29 September 2007

Obviously Bert and Ernie are two of the wholly innocent and peaceful Sesame Street character, but what would happen if Martin Scorsese was allowed to direct an episode?

This video is a great mash up between a scene from Sesame Street and the audio from Casino, a Scorsese directed mafia film starring Joe Pesci and Robert De Niro (don’t they all?).

World Record Bike Run Video | 130.7 MPH on a Bicycle in the Snow!

Posted on Saturday 29 September 2007

I’ve never been much of a bike rider myself, but bicycle racing has always amazed me. There’s just something about people going that fast with no motor power that boggles the mind. Just look at this guy. His name is Markus Stoeckl, and he broke the world speed record for series mountain bikes at 130.7 miles per hour.

Gossip Girl | New Teen Drama Series - Watch The You Tube Videos

Posted on Saturday 29 September 2007

GossipGirlLogoI have to admit: when I first heard that a new show was coming out called Gossip Girl, I rolled my eyes. What a ridiculous name for a television series.

After doing some research, though, I found that this show reeks of clever writing and realistic characters.

These characters are gorgeous and seemingly perfect, but at a second glance, they have flaws just like the rest of us. The drama is thick, which is always a good thing.
