This week the American Idols needed to sing not one, but two, Neil Diamond songs. But it didn’t seem to phase David Cook, who gave two stellar performances. It was tough to choose, but I decided to show you his take on All I Really Need Is You.

I must admit, I almost didn’t see this video. Watching five synchronized metronomes just didn’t sound very thrilling. But when I noticed it’s currently the number one clip on Videosift, my curiosity got the better of me.

To appreciate it you do need a little patience. But the payoff is worth it.

The popular Podcast Mahalo Daily aired it’s final episode with host Veronica Belmont on April 22nd. Now Lon Harris is looking for a replacement with his new daily online competition called ‘Mahalo VLOG Idol.’ Let’s face it, the man isn’t what you would call “pretty”.

No, the new temporary show doesn’t have anything to do with singing or American Idol, but the format is pretty damn close.
