Wow, this has to be one of the cutest things I’ve seen in a long time. Lola the kitten was born with a deformity affecting her back legs. But rather than let this disability ruin her life, she learns a different technique for getting around.

The reporter on this news video describes Lola as a kind-of Forrest Gump character of the cat world, and he has a point. However, not once while watching Forrest Gump did I want to adopt Tom Hanks. The opposite is true with Lola.

Cats are cute anyway, which is why I avoid shelters – otherwise I’d have hundreds of cats running around my apartment. But Lola the kitten, well I think I’d make an exception for her. She’s welcome anytime.

There’s part of me that feels really sorry for Lola but as necessity is the mother of invention I have a feeling she’ll be alright. I just hope she was adopted by a kindly and gentle family after this report aired on television.
