I thought only dogs could learn how to stay, come, and play dead, so I was amazed to see the skills of a little turtle called Florida. He may have a tiny brain, but he performs right on cue.

Now a trained turtle is pretty special anyway, but this little guy does more than perform tricks. He’s actually helping kids overcome issues with anxiety, depression, and nightmares.

Florida’s owner Mitchell Spero is a child psychologist, and his special pet is a key part of his therapy sessions. It’s a big responsibility for such a small turtle, but he seems to take it all in his stride.
