While die-hard sci-fi movies fans of the original 1951 version of The Day the Earth Stood Still are already rallying against another Hollywood butchered classic film, many people are still excited about this movie being released.

I am with the people who say that Hollywood movies need to stop recreating the past and start creating some original content again. Even so, I am excited about this movie being released.

While it is a remake of a classic, it will be interesting to see what currently technology does for the impact.
