Firefighters have to be prepared for a wide variety of scenarios in order to be ready to take action should they happen. But would your fire department know what to do if a fire broke out during an alien invasion?
This ABC news clip takes a look at a manual that, at first glance, is a handy reference for the training of firefighters. Until you get to chapter 13, that is. That’s the chapter that warns against what may happen in the event of a UFO landing.
I’d love to know where the writers got their information. Have they been abducted by aliens? Or have they just watched one too many sci-fi movies? Judging by their descriptions of engine trouble when approaching a spaceship and other staples of alien movies, my guess is the latter.
At least we can rest easy knowing that our emergency personnel are prepared if such things should happen. These manuals are in use all over the U.S.
